Oppo Reno 3 and Oppo Reno 3 Pro phones are getting ready for launch on December 26 in China. Since the launch is near, the company is revealing its specifications one by one. The latest information the company has released is regarding the processor of Reno 3.
We already know that The Reno 3 Pro phone will be provided with the Snapdragon 765G SoC processor. But The processor of the Reno 3 was not disclosed, and the wait is over now.
Oppo has officially unveiled the processor of the phone to be MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000L 5G SoC. Further, Shen Yiren, the VP of the company, has also confirmed that Reno 3 Pro will feature with an improved version of VOOC 4.0 fast charging.
On the official website where it has started taking registrations, a teaser of the features that will be integrated with the phone are listed. At the bottom of the page, you can find that the Reno 3 mobile contains a MediaTek processor.
Oppo Reno 3 was spotted on AnTuTu just a day before featuring Dimensity 1000L 5G SoC. The fine print also claimed that the thickness of the Oppo Reno 3 would be 7.96mm, while it is already known that it is 7.7mm thick.
The vice president of Oppo, Brian Shen, has separately posted in his Weibo post that Oppo Reno 3 Pro will be featured with an improvised version of VOOC 4.0. This fast-charging charges the mobile to 50% within 20 minutes. Furthermore, the phone will be entirely charged in around 56 minutes.
A recent listing in TENAA claims that the phone may have a 3,935mAh battery.
In September, the traditional VOOC 4.0 fast-charge technology was launched. It allows a 4,000mAh battery to charge to 67% in 30 minutes and 100% in 73 minutes.
The Oppo Reno 3 series mobiles will be featured with a 360-degree wraparound antenna design, which can encompass the entire frame of the phone to assure better reception of the signal. The two phones would possess a 64-megapixel sensor, but the Reno 3 might not have a Sony sensor.
