Xiaomi’s Mi Notebook Air is nowhere. On Tuesday Xiaomi has unveiled the new upgraded version of its competitor Apple MacBook Air as Mi Notebook Air 12.5-inch (2019). Xiaomi’s upgraded laptop packs Core m3 processor or 8th generation Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM, SSD up to 256GB and full HD screen. Everything is compact in full-metal chassis which weighs just 1.07kg. The upgraded version of the new Mi Notebook Air has come three months later Xiaomi’s inclusion of laptop with 7th generation Core i5 in its portfolio. The Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch version however already includes 8th generation Intel Core CPUs.
The Mi Notebook Air 12.5-inch will be in the market starting 28th March in China. The sale scheduled for the first day is at 10:00 am CST, or 7.30 am IST. This laptop will come in two colors- Silver and Gold along with three variants. 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air with Intel Core m3 and 128GB SSD is priced at CNY 3,599, whereas the 256GB SSD versioned model costs around Rs. 42,700 (CNY 3,999). Another variant with Intel Core i5 CPU and SSD of 256GB will cost roughly Rs. 45,900 (CNY 4,999).
No word yet has emerged on the release of the laptop outside China. The upgraded model of Mi Notebook Air 12.5-inch sports all-metal chassis, and it does not have any logo. The device comes with fast charging support, and it can be charged at least 50 percent within 50 minutes. Three Harman speakers and DTS Surround Sound support have been packed with the laptop.
