In August 2019, Samsung introduced DeX integration with MacPCs and Windows for the devices. This feature was then introduced in the Galaxy S10 series, too, and there were some rumors that Samsung is planning to release the feature to its flagship series from 2018 with One UI 2.0 update. Now with Android 10 update to Samsung Galaxy S9 series and Note 9, the company is planning to introduce DeX for PC support to the devices.
The DeX for PC solution now supports Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, and Galaxy Note 9, according to the reports by Sammobile. With the One UI 2.0 update, the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 users can use their devices in a desktop environment by connecting the mobiles to a MacPC or Windows using a USB cable. DeX PC is a useful tool that lets the users transfer files from their phone to the PC and vice-versa, to play mobile games with a mouse and keyboard, and to get the work done on documents stored on their devices using PC.
To use DeX services, you first need to download and install the app from the company’s official site. After the installation, you need to connect your phone to the PC and start using your mobile phone in a desktop layout. The DeX for PC support works on the Android 10 beta for Galaxy S9 and Note 9. There is no need to install the app for these devices. Also, you don’t have to install the latest stable update to enjoy these new features.
