One of Samsung’s uneven series smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy XCover 4s, is spotted running a major OS version. Currently, it is running on Android 9.0 (Pie).
Samsung’s XCover series is famous for its tough and durable quality with mid-range specs. It came in 2019 with an HD screen and 3GB Ram. Nowadays, it is rare to have a hardware button in front, but these series have it.
Samsung’s One UI 2.0 is very popular, which is based on Android 10. But this smartphone is still into Android 9.0. But the Geekbench website has shown some positive news.
The Geekbench website is talking about a new device with model no “Samsung SM-G398FN” with Android 10 as an operating system. They uploaded this list on 28th January 2020. The screenshot of the listing is below:
The website has shown another listing for the same model number, but there are some differences between both listings. The first one is showing the motherboard as exynos7884, but the second one is showing universal7885 (read exynos7885). Galaxy XCover 4S runs on Exynos 7885 chipset. The screenshot of the second listing is below:
The similarities in these two listings are that the single and multi-core scores are almost the same. The unique identifier information is also the same in both of the lists. So, this tells us that Android 10 update with One UI 2.0 is coming.
Samsung’s One UI 2.0 gives new features and simplifies the whole interface. It puts focus on functionality; also, it removes the unnecessary UI elements. Galaxy XCover 4s is not only IP68 dust/water-resistant, but it also supports a dedicated microSD card.
