Samsung started rolling out Android 10 updates to its flagship devices Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8. Last year in November, the smartphone received the one UI 2.0 beta based on Android 10. Now both the devices got the Unofficial LineageOS 17.1.
The Galaxy S8/S8 Plus and Note 8 are old generation devices packed with Exynos 8895 are well-suited for running Google’s Latest Operating System. Samsung, until now, did not announce One UI 2.0 update based on Android 10 to the Galaxy S8 and Note 8.
XDA developer Stricted already brought the unofficial LineageOS 17.1 to the Galaxy S8 and Note 8, allowing Owners of these devices to try Android 10.
As these are initial builds, users are facing some issues like the signal is breaking while recording videos on the stock camera, and you are unable to use the Bluetooth headphones to listen to music. Moreover, the Screen Cast functionality is broken while SELinux is a Permissive state in the update.
If you want to try the latest Android 10 despite these issues, you can install the OS from the below links. To flash this ROM, you have to install the TWRP before you install Lineage OS 17.1. Note that the custom recovery of your smartphone and Unlocked bootloader are prerequisites for installing the TWRP. However, these builds intended to be flashed only on Exynos models.

If you want to flash the Lineage OS 17.1 on your device, you need to have the latest version of Google Apps. After that, you can reboot to recovery, flash both packages, and then reboot your device. However, the ROM proved good for upgrading Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ and Note 8 to Android 10.
