Right now, WhatsApp dark mode is Only for those users who are registered with the TestFlight program.
Earlier this year, WhatsApp introduces the dark mode for its Android app. And the feature is still limited to beta testers only. But, there is a clear sign that it will be released soon widely through the stable channel. The iPhone users have so far been unhappy. But, now it changes as dark mode for the WhatsApp’s iOS client has reportedly released through the beta channel. The iPhone users who are the members of the TestFlight beta testing program can now get access to the feature.
As per a MacRumors report, the latest WhatsApp beta carries the build number 2.20.20 (2.20.30.13) finally adds the Dark mode. Test notes of the latest WhatsApp for iOS beta mentions the arrival of dark mode. It indicates that the feature will come soon, and it comes to all users in the coming future. One of the user’s reports on the r/whatsapp Reddit, reveals the addition of the dark mode with the app’s v2.20.20 beta builds. It looks like this particular build is only suitable for iPhones who are running on iOS 9 or the later versions. Some screenshots also give a glimpse of the dark UI that appears when dark mode is enabled on WhatsApp’s iOS client.
The beta testing that we are talking about, the final color scheme, and UI design for the stable version may differ from what a user will see during the test phase. Apple’s TestFlight program for testing WhatsApp’s beta build is currently full. And still, if a user wants to download the beta build of WhatsApp and try dark mode on their iPhone, then they can do it manually.
