Xiaomi launched its 2020 Mi series flagships, Xiaomi Mi 10, and the Mi 10 Pro at an online event in China on February 13, 2020. The smartphones were teased for a few days, and their specifications are confirmed now.
Xiaomi is a well-known brand, which offers most of the developer-friendly smartphones in the fraternity of Android. The company has more than proven this on multiple occasions, and it continues to do so with the latest Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro.
Just hours after the announcement of the smartphones in China, Xiaomi published the official Android 10 kernel source code for both devices alongside the official MIUI ROMs.
The two phones do come with a reasonably significant increase in pricing concerning older flagships of Xiaomi. They come with 5G support with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 + Snapdragon X55 modem. However, they still represent exceptional value for money.
Xiaomi uploaded the kernel source code on Github for the Mi 10 and the Mi 10 Pro on day one of the product launch itself. This kernel source code is part of the “umi-q-oss” branch on its Github.
Two years ago, the company committed to releasing kernel sources within three months of the launch of a new device, and things have only got better from there.
