Tinder is now working on several new features to boost up the conversation among the users on its platform. Recently, it announced its plans to expand filtering capabilities, apart from other product updates like new social engagement features and the upcoming international launch for its interactive in-app experience called “Swipe Night.”
The latest leaks by Jane Manchun Wong, a new feature, “Share to Matches” option, allows users to post looping videos, photos, and other content, which only their existing matches can see. The other feature, “Prompt,” which helps users to respond to questions or finish a sentence to show their personality with their answers better.

With the addition of these two features, the goal of the app is to make users start messaging each other.
The most challenging thing about an online dating app is to chat with a stranger. This led to most of the users of Tinder app resorting to jokes, cheesy one-liners, or even overly on risque remarks to get a reaction.
But now, Tinder appears to borrow ideas from Match Group that replies on the conversational prompts and captioned photos to make users showcase their personality on their profiles.
Another new option on Tinder to share content only to their matches would make shy matches to initiate conversation or else re-engage the matches who have dropped off their conversation.
Jane Manchun Wong first discovered the features, and a spokesperson from the company confirmed them as tests. However, Match Group, the mother company of Tinder, during earnings of this month, said that Tinder would roll out new social engagement features soon, including prompts.
“Tinder’s goal is to make it easier for users to connect with new people. We are testing different ways to make it easy for the members to express and share their personalities along with keeping the experience simple and fun,” Tinder told. “These changes might or might not roll out to everyone over time.”
Since the features are tests, some of the users may see both the elements. Some may see neither, and some may see just only one.
The features may also not look the same as showcased in the tweet.

The company had declined to tell where or when the tests are running. Further, when they may roll out to users more broadly. Still, the Spring Break prompt gives a good hint of when something like this may become available widely.
Having established as a market leader for the year 2019, Tinder, the massive dating app, can now afford to be more experimental. In terms of revenue, the company got 1.2 billion, making it the top non-gaming app of the year.
