Last month, a Realme smartphone bearing a model number RMX2040 spotted on NBTC, a Thailand’s regulatory body. The listing has also unveiled that the handset is Realme 6i.
The model number RMX2040 is also found on the other certification platforms such as SIRIM in Malaysia, BIS in India, IMDA in Singapore, and EEC in Russia, even before appearing on the NBTC.
Now again, the same model number has appeared on FCC, the Federal Communications Commission in the U.S. The FCC website has disclosed some live shots of the pre-production units of Realme 6i.
In December 2019, Realme 6i officially confirmed as the successor of the Realme 5i. The images surfaced on the FCC listing of Realme 6i reveals that the phone is equipped with a water drop notch screen.
The rear part of the phone has a quad-camera setup placed at the top left corner of it. The primary camera of 48-megapixel is equipped on the phone.
The right side of the Realme 6i has a power key, and the left spine has volume control buttons. Also, on the rear side of the phone, you can find the fingerprint reader.
On the bottom edge of the phone, you can see USB-C replaces the micro USB port. A 3.5 mm audio jack and a speaker grille are also seen on the bottom side of the smartphone. The smartphone dimensions are 164.4 x 75 x 9mm, and it weighs 195 grams.
The accurate size of the display of Realme 6i is not known yet. Since the dimensions of the phone are almost the same as that of the Realme 5i, the phone is supposed to feature an HD+ resolution supporting screen of 6.5 inches. It may sport a 20:9 aspect ratio like the Realme 5i phone. The handset is supposed to come loaded with ColorOS 7.0 based Android 10 OS.
It is also said that the phone receives the massive 5,000mAh battery from the predecessor. An image of the charger shows that the Realme 6i will come with an 18W fast charging support. We have to see whether the retail package of the smartphone will include the 9V/2A charger. The connectivity features of the phone include dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.0, and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
Currently, the other specifications of the Realme 6i phone are not known. The Realme 5i came in Blue and Green colors. However, the Realme 6i can be additionally seen in a new white color in the live images shared on FCC.
