Twitter added a new feature where you will be able to view quoted tweets. Jane Manchun Wong, a reverse engineering expert, spotted this feature. As of now, this feature has been found on iOS devices, and it can soon be expected on other devices too.
When you click on the retweet, currently, you will see the names of the users, whereas, with the addition of this new feature, retweets are classified into two categories that include retweet with comments and without comments. On clicking on a category, you can see its respective retweets.
It seems that the feature is appearing differently for some users. Some users can see an explicit mentioning of the number of retweets with comments, and on clicking on that, you can see the comments. Check the images below to understand in a better way.
Since users found the same feature in different implementations, we have to wait and till the wider roll-out to see which UI actually gets finalized.
Twitter has also widely rolled out another feature on its web application, a collapsible conversation sidebar in which you can view both media and comments simultaneously.
