As per Realme’s initial roadmap for Android 10, Realme 3 and Realme 3i are expected to get the update in April. Now, the company opens the beta program for both phones. The users of Realme 3 and 3i have options to join the Realme UI open beta program. If the user joins then, he will get the feel of first-hand of Realme UI, based on Android 10.
The blog post of the company warns that there might be bugs and minor issues in the beta version. So, if a user wants to take the risk, then only proceed to the beta version. The user has to do a backup of all the important data as they can’t roll back to the stable ROM after the update. The slots are limited, so if the user didn’t get the option to join, then they have to wait for the final version. Still, the user wants to continue, then read the article.
According to the company post, the user should have the latest version of ColorOS. The version for the Realme 3 is RMX1821EX_11.A.28 and for the Realme 3i is RMX1827EX_11.A.28. If the user’s device doesn’t have these versions, then they can manually download and update it from here. Realme said that the phone battery level should be more than 60%, and the user should have more than 5GB of free space available in their device.
After completing everything, the user has to go to Settings > Software Update > Click the top right button > Tap Trial Version. The user should see realme UI Open Beta- realme there. Tap that, and the update will start downloading.
The Realme says the user to update all their apps before joining the beta as there may be some case of conflict. After the update, the user might face some common issues like to boot the device it will take a long time, right after the update it will give the slow performance, the first time it will boot in the Realme UI. Another issue is when the user wants to unlock the Realme 3 or 3i on the beta ROM under the strong light, it may show a black screen. As per the Realme, this issue will not be in the final version.
