Like all the other smartphones, Xiaomi has also started pushing the Android 10 update that has come out in September 2019.
The global variant Mi 9T, which is rebranded as Redmi K20, has started getting Android 10 updates with December Security Patch through a stable channel.
Xiaomi launched Redmi K20 in June, which was then running on Android 9.0 Pie, and it got upgraded it from MIUI 10 to its latest in-house OS in October.
Back in December, the Redmi K20 has also started getting the updates in China.
To recall, in India, Redmi K20 is still running on the October patch, while the European Mi 9T users have stuck with the November security patch.
The situations are changing now. Owners of Redmi K20 or Mi 9T should be celebrating as the devices are picking up Android 10 stable updates. Prominently, Redmi K20 is grabbing the update in India while the Mi 9T is getting updates in Europe.
The update for Redmi K20 Indian users appears with the version number V11.0.1.0.QFJINXM and is around 2.2 GB in size for the OTA update. If the users did not receive an update, they could download it manually.
The Android 10 update for Redmi K20 comes with a stable MIUI 11, increased system stability, December patchset, and other optimizations.
The complete changelog includes increased system security, a stable MIUI based on Android 10, Updated Android Security Patch to December 2019. Further, Lockscreen & status bar are updated, could not open notification settings in the Notification shade in Second space was rectified. Moreover, in the Security update, the localized payment security icon for India has been optimized. Fixed images overlapped in scrolling screenshots.
The Android 10 update for European users of Mi 9T is also available now. It has arrived with version number V11.0.1.0 QFJEUXM, and the size of it would be 2.2 GB. The changelog of Mi 9T is the same as that of Redmi K20.
