Steps to Install AOSP Android 7.1.1 Nougat on Sony X Compact

1. Download AOSP Android 7.1.1 Nougat for Sony X Compact from downloads section above.
2. Download and Install ADB Drivers
3. Reboot into Bootloader Mode
   • Turn Off your device
   • Press and hold Power + Volume Down together at same time.
   • OR go to ADB folder and execute the below command
   • Open the command prompt in ADB folder by press and holding “Shift + Right mouse click” then click on ‘Open command window here’.

   • adb reboot bootloader

4. Now Extract the download AOSP Nougat ROM into ADB folder and execute the following commands in Command prompt.

   fastboot -S 256M flash boot boot.img 
   fastboot -S 256M flash recovery recovery.img 
   fastboot -S 256M flash system system.img 
   fastboot -S 256M flash userdata userdata.img
   
   Note: userdata.img will wipe your data

5. Reboot Your device.
6. Done!!!
