Today images and specifications of an upcoming Canon EOS 850D (named Canon Rebel T8i in North America) have been leaked. It shows a fantastic glimpse into Canon’s next APS-C DSLR. The Canon EOS 850D / Canon Rebel T8i is a follow-up to the Canon EOS 800D / Canon Rebel T7i.
According to the source of camera news, Nokishita Canon has added three more items to its product list. It includes the next DSLR that is expected to make its official debut in February at the CP + photography fair (presumably along with the EOS R5).

Translation of the tweet says: “EOS Rebel T8i Body, EOS Rebel T8i Lens Kit, RF 24-105mm STM and QX10 (Black, White, Green, Pink) have been added to the latest Canon product list. If it is not an error, it should be announced in February.” It’s not clear precisely what the QX10 refers to, but Canon is populating its stable RF optics with another standard zoom lens.
Canon EOS 800D / Canon Rebel T7i got a complaint about its versatility and excellent image quality. The performance of autofocus and touchscreen is impressive. But there is a lack of 4K video. Also, the camera is too expensive for a beginner’s camera.
So, now we want to see that the Canon EOS 850D / Canon Rebel T8i will improve its predecessor’s technical prowess and build or not. According to some rumors, the Canon EOS 850D / Canon Rebel T8i will have a 24.1MP sensor, which is a very slight step back from the 800D’s 24.2MP sensor. However, the 850D will have a DIGIC 8 processor, compared with the 800D’s DIGIC 7.
The Canon EOS 850D / Canon Rebel T8i will have all-cross 45-point AF and Dual Pixel CMOS AF. This new coming DSLR will be able to shoot 4K video at 30p without cropping. The 850D / T8i will also offer continuous shooting at about 7fps (7.5fps in Live View).
The Canon EOS 850D / Canon Rebel T8i has a three-inch vari-angle LCD screen. It looks like Canon has decreased some weight from the 850D. The previous models’ weight around 532g (body only with battery and card). But, the 850D will be 515g (including battery).
