Canon has always been the top camera companies in the world. It has been until now offering the 4K video recording features to its high-end DSLRs. However, it was recently that Canon introduced 4K recording features to its latest launch – Canon M-50.

Canon M50 is officially launched in India and is a compact and affordable mirrorless camera. The camera is priced at Rs.61,995 in India. It is said to be an upgrade for the Canon M5, which was launch in February earlier this year.

Canon M50 comes with an EF-M15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM lens along with the body. For the price the camera is retailed for is quietly affordable and one of the best for the vloggers and YouTubers.

Powered by DIGIC 8 processor, the canon M50 comes with amazing features that include 24.1 megapixel CMOS sensor, 4K Ultra HD video recording at 24fps, Full HD videos at 60fps, and 720p slow-motion videos at 120fps. The camera company claims that the Canon M50 is one of the latest launches with a new entry-level in the M-series device. One of the additional and extremely amazing features that are possessed by the Canon M50 is that it can shoot 4K videos even in extremely dim-lit conditions.

The EOS M50 supports canon’s Dual pixel autofocus technology which helps in taking faster shots, however, is only available in1080p videos and not for 4K video shoots, an ISO range of 100 to 25,600, which can be expanded up to 51,200, and is featured to take burst shots at 10fps and 7.4 fps with autofocus. An OLED electronic viewfinder with a 3-inch LCD touchscreen can be used for the “drag and focus” technique. The additional connectivity features included Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, and NFC.

The only disappointment to the users will be the cropped 4K videos due to the APS-C crop sensor. The Canon M50 lacks the body-stabilization and the users will thence have to depend on the lenses itself for the digital stabilization.
