Dell XPS 13 updated edition released ahead of CES 2020 and will be available soon.

Dell has launched the updated version of its favored XPS 13 model laptop, days ahead of the CES 2020, that is going to be held from January 7 to January 10. Known as XPS 13(model number 9300), Dell’s laptop has a larger 16:10 display and uniform bezel thickness on all sides. Although it has a larger display, the size of the laptop is small compared to its predecessor. While being powered by the Intel’s 10th Gen Processor, the laptop has its previous metal and glass build, but now has a larger keyboard and trackpad. With XPS 13 laptop, Dell also launched a developer edition laptop with the latest build of ‘Ubuntu.’

Dell XPS 13, XPS 13 Developer Edition price details and availability

As of now, the Dell XPS 13 has a price tag of $999.99(approx. Rs. 72000/-) and will be available in 7 countries from January 7. These seven countries are France, Canada, the UK, Sweden, Germany, and the US. For the rest of the world, the laptop will be available starting from February 2020. The Dell XPS developer edition laptop is tagged at $1,199(approx. Rs.86000/-) and will be available in the US, the UK, and select European countries from February.

Specifications

The Dell XPS has a 13.4-inch display with a resolution that can go up to UHD+(3,840 x 2,400 pixels) with a peak brightness of 500 nits. It has a 1500:1 contrast ratio, a viewing angle of 178 degrees and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.5%. It is powered by 10th Gen Intel Core Processor, from Intel Core i3 (1005G1), going up to quad-core Intel Core i7 (1065G7) processor.

It can be combined with 32 GB LPDDR4X RAM and Intel Iris Plus Graphics. The storage extended up to 2 TB PCIe (3×4) SSD. The XPS 13 has a battery of 52WHr that can be charged with a 45W AC adapter having a Type-C port. It comes with inbuilt Windows 10 OS.

XPS 13 also has a fingerprint sensor embedded within the power button but is not present in the XPS 13 developer edition. All the features of the XPS 13 developer edition are the same, except the developer edition runs on Ubuntu 18.04. The laptop has Killer Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 for wireless connectivity and possesses dual 2.5W stereo speakers with Waves MaxxAudio Pro tuning.
