In this new season, Fortnite introduces a new mode of transport, i.e., Helicopters. The players were demanding to increase mobility for some time, and the Epic Games listened to the community voice.
The idea was shown in the Season 2 promo, and now finally, it came with the name Choppas. A 5-man tactical mobility advantage can make or break the player’s game. There are no preloaded weapons on the Choppas, but a player can use their kit of destruction to harass the players who can’t fly.
Helicopters were released on Tuesday with the update v12.20. It can be easily available on dotted helipads, which is distributed all over the Island’s secret bases. The Choppa location will be a highly challenging area, so if a player wants to rack up kills, advice, or anything, then they can try their luck on the eight different spots for their spawn.
The first helipad is available on the east side of The Rig, with another nearby on the north-west side of The Shark Base. In Pleasant Park, the old soccer field is transformed into a bunker, complete with a helipad. Another one can be found at the center of The Grotto.
Two more helipads can spawn to the south of The Agency and the east of Craggy Cliffs, respectively. The final two are found on The Yacht and the western side of The Mountain. Although Choppas will be a huge advantage as they are dangerous.
If a player enters into the flying journey, then they can’t drop down in mid of the flight. Players have to park their vehicles first, and Choppas are too loud that they can alert the enemy teams about the trap or a possibility of Choppa steal.
The Choppas are an obvious target from the ground, but its flexibility and speed make it a difficult target to hit.
