Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Book S, with a Snapdragon processor, boasting fantastic battery life and LTE connectivity. Now Samsung improved the Galaxy Book S with Intel Lakefield chip, which is the first laptop to use Intel’s latest chip of the Lakefield generation.

The Lakefield generation of processors uses a similar architecture as ARM chipsets. They come with Atom and Core CPU cores in the same processor. It is identical to the high-performance, high-efficiency setup seen on most ARM chips on smartphones. Samsung is claiming that this new processor manages workloads more efficiently and results in better battery life than the previous ones.

Specification of Samsung Galaxy Book S (2020):

There are not many details of the Galaxy Book S as of now, but we managed to grab some details from the Samsung website. Below are the specs that we managed to grab from the website.

Speaking of the battery, the Galaxy Book S is a 42Wh battery unit. The laptop has a 13.3-inch Full HD LCD touch display and comes with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM. It can also be configured with 256GB/512GB eUFS storage. Moreover, there’s a microSD card slot that supports up to 1TB expansion.

For connectivity, the laptop comes with LTE support along with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. Samsung is shipping the device with Windows 10 Home or Pro version(s) as per our need. The device is available in two colors viz. Earthy Gold and Mercury Gray colors.
