HTC U Ultra has set in motion to receive its Android 8.0 Oreo Update as per the report from users in different regions. As per the reports, Android 8.0 Oreo Update is rolling out in India, Italy, and Taiwan. HTC U Ultra has recently brought its January Android security patch and an OS upgrade. Hence it’s not sure about what this Android Oreo update can bring in. Currently, two separate software update versions are available which is meant for different regions. HTC U Ultra was revealed in February last year with an Android 7.0 Nougat.
Looking into the details of Android 8.0 Oreo Update for HTC U Ultra, currently, there are two versions of the software update – v2.19.400.1 weighing in at 1.32GB and v2.19.709.2 weighing in at 1.58GB. As per the user reports, it is claimed that the rollout is found at HTC’s Taiwan forum.
Talking about HTC U Ultra, the device is sported with a 5.7-inch QHD Super LCD with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels and a secondary 2-inch display with 1040×160 pixels resolution. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset which is coupled with 4GB of RAM.
In India, the HTC U Ultra is available in its 64GB inbuilt storage variant with an expandable memory up to 2TB via microSD. The 64GB variant device’s display is protected with a Gorilla Glass 5. 128GB inbuilt storage variant, which is a limited edition, with a Sapphire Glass was also launched in India last year in March.
HTC U Ultra has a rear camera with 12 – UltraPixel and 1.55-micron pixels. A BSI sensor, laser and phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilization and a f/2.8 aperture with a dual-tone LED flash are the peculiarities of the rear camera. HTC U Ultra is sported with a 12-megapixel front camera with an UltraPixel mode and a BSI sensor.
HTC U Ultra supports the connectivity options like 4G LTE with voLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NEC, DLNA, Miracast, HTC Connect, and USB 3.1 Type-C. The device is having a fingerprint sensor on the home button. HTC BoomSound HiFi edition stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio support and a 3D Audio recording support with 4 microphones are also provided in the HTC U Ultra. The device is powered by Quick Charge 3.0 and a 3000mAh battery with a standby time of up to 13 days and 26 hours of talk time.
