Finally, P20 Pro and Mate 10 are going to get the EMUI 10 based Android 10 update. Huawei has started rolling out the global update for the European and Asian users who reported receiving the OTA. In Huawei’s EMUI 10 update roadmap, it’s already mentioned that both the devices will get the stable EMUI 10 update from mid-June.

Updates are heavy in size, i.e., for the Mate 10, it is 4.39GB, and for the P20 Pro, it is 4.59GB; therefore, the user has to download them from WiFi. The EMUI 10 update is coming with a lot of features such as a reconstructed UI, new Quick Settings, notification panel, renewed Camera UI, organized Settings, new transition animations, and more. The user will also get the Android 10 changes like a dark mode for all the system, a new navigation gesture system, new Digital Wellbeing tools with the control of Parents, valid location and privacy controls, Smart Reply, and more.
The EMUI 10 update has started rolling out for Huawei Mate 10 and P20 Pro users in many regions, and slowly it will come to many devices in some days. If the user didn’t get the OTA notification, then he can use the Huawei Firmware Finder tool to get the full OTA and manually sideload it in his device. The user can also force the OTA by using VPN.

The Mate 10 is a flagship smartphone from Huawei that was launched in 2017. The device has a 5.9-inch HDR LCD, Kirin 970 SoC, dual cameras, and a 4,000 mAh battery. The P20 Pro was launched in March 2018, and the device has a 5.8-inch display, Kirin 970 octa-core SoC, triple cameras, and 3,400 mAh battery. These both devices came with EMUI 8.X based on Android Oreo and get updated to Android 9 Pie in EMUI 9.
