Apple will hold a spring event at the end of March likely be on 31st March to launch the iPhone 9, aka iPhone SE 2.
A report says that Apple’s next iPhone, i.e., the iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2, is going to get a delay in the launch because of the deadly coronavirus outbreak in China.
According to a report in Nikkei Asian Review, the mass production of the device was supposed to start by the end of this month but, it might get delay for sometime till March.
A report from earlier in this week said that Apple would hold a spring event at the end of March, i.e., 31st March to launch the iPhone 9, aka iPhone SE 2. Now, the latest report talks about the delay and gives a warning from Apple that there is an outbreak of a coronavirus which will affect their business in the January-March quarter as the global iPhone supply will be temporary stops.
In an investor update on Monday, the tech giant said that there would be no longer expectations to meet the same revenue guidance as they got in last month for the upcoming quarter.
The company said that work is starting to continue around the country, but they are experiencing a slower return to normal conditions than they had predicted. As a result, they don’t expect to meet the revenue guidance that they provided for the March quarter due to two main factors.
The first factor is that the worldwide iPhone supply will be constrained temporarily for some time.
The company said that the company’s iPhone manufacturing partner sites are outside the Hubei province, and they are jumping up more slowly than they had expected.
The second factor is that the demand for Apple products in China has been affected.
