A new budget and mid-range smartphone from LG is expected to be in the market soon. The details regarding the latest phone are spotted on the Slashleaks. The smartphone is named as “LG Neon Plus.”
Neon is the name that was previously associated with LG’s flip and slider phones about ten years back. These were basic phones with a simple operating system. They were available only on AT&T.
The flip and slider phones were not smartphones, but the new Neon plus will be an android smartphone. The new LG Neon Plus may also be going to be available on AT&T itself.
An image leak is found on the website, which looks similar to that of a user manual document. The picture discloses the button layout and standard functions of LG Neon Plus as well.
What looks attractive in the phone is that it is said to be carrying a micro USB port and not USB C. Apart from that, LG has also employed in a 3.5mm headphone jack on the smartphone.
An external and dedicated Google Assistant Button can be found on the left side of the device below the volume buttons. It might help the users to launch voice assistant instantly from any screen. This feature is similar to that of LG’s high-end smartphones.
Thanks to the leak that renders the Neon Plus sport an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The storage capacity of the phone is not known, but we can see a slot for a microSD card to expand its storage.
And the best of all is the LG Neon Plus doesn’t have a notch. This results in slightly larger bezels, yet many like to prefer that over a notch. The aspect ratio of the display looks to be 18:9. So, it will be tall but not as tall as Sony’s smartphones.
All the other details, including processor, screen size, storage, RAM, pricing, and availability, are not yet known. But, the phone here in the leaks shows a blue variant, and it is likely that LG will surely offer some more color options.
It is speculated that the phone will be unveiled in the CES 2020, which is going to be held in January next year. It is a tradition for LG to launch it’s budget and mid-range phones at CES. And the company releases its premium, high-end gadgets at Mobile World Congress in February.
