Magic Ben, a Chinese company, has come up with a new device called the Mag1. As of now, it is the world’s smallest laptop with a touchpad, a report statement published in TechCrunch.
The measurement of the device is 20.7 x 14.6 x 1.8cm, which is almost as tiny as an A5 sheet. The laptop weighs about 700 grams and has more ports than Apple’s laptop, Macbook. The laptop has a full-size USB 3.0 port, microSD card reader, Type-C connector, a micro HDMI port, and an audio socket.
The report also stated, Magic Ben’s Mag1, an ultra-portable laptop is available for a price of $790. It is small, slim, light in weight, yet powerful.
The Mag1 laptop has some high-end components such as an Intel Core M3-8100Y CPU, a 512GB solid-state drive (SSD), and a 16 GB memory. What is interesting about this laptop is its touchscreen display, with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10.
Even though the laptop is extremely tiny, it employs a 30AHr battery, that according to the manufacturer, will guarantee that the device runs for up to seven hours. Another exciting feature of the Mag1 is the event that it is chargeable with a power bank through a Type C connector.
This small laptop does not have a webcam, nor does it have active pen support or a 360-degree hinge.
A report published in liliputing stated that the laptop has a very small keyboard, but in comparison with the other mini laptop keyboards, it is quite reasonable in size.
The report also added that the touchpad is easier to use than the optical touch sensors that are found on other devices of this category.
