Microsoft released redesigned versions of mobile Microsoft Office apps for devices running both iOS and iPad OS. The users will now get Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps, which have a reworked interface to provide quick edits.

However, there are not many new features in the latest version of Microsoft Office apps. The update improved the user experience by making the apps more straightforward to use and faster. You can download the updated apps from the Apple App Store.

Visually, the apps look minimalistic and cleaner. Microsoft says that they have made the apps more “faster, simpler, and more beautiful than before.” Excel has the maximum changes, while PowerPoint and Word have a redesign and addition of an Alt Text Pane.

The Excel changes are XLOOKUP function integration, which allows users to find values both horizontally and vertically. Earlier, Microsoft released XLOOKUP to Office insiders. And it received positive feedback after that it decided to release it to the public.

Some of the other features in the updated Excel includes the ability to use mail and further directly respond to mentions and comments without opening the workbook.

All three apps of Microsoft Office now get an Alt Text Pane, which allows you to add captions and also makes the content more accessible. The changelog released by Microsoft shows that all three apps have been redesigned from scratch.

You can download all the three Microsoft Office apps, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint from the App Store. You will need to have iOS 12.0 or later for these apps to work. Besides, Apple Watch users will need to have watchOS 3.0 or later if they want to use this latest version of Microsoft PowerPoint.
