Xiaomi is continuing to roll out it’s MIUI 11 that was initially started in September. The company is making steady progress in bringing the new feature to all its older version smartphones.
MIUI has brought along new features such as animated AOD and Horizon Light for supported devices, dynamic sound system, new font, Mi Work & Mi-Go app suites, and many more changes.
Xiaomi has also mentioned features on MIUI 11, such as Natural Sound modes, Gallery Monthly Viewing option, Nature Alarm tones, Wireless Print option, New Panchang, New Game Turbo Mode, Dual Clock, Mi Share, and Screen Casting.
MIUI 11 Fastboot ROM is now available for the Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi Note 6 Pro, Mi Note 10, or Mi CC9 Pro, and Redmi 5 Plus or Redmi Note 5 India.
The Redmi 6 and 6A were launched last June, and both the phones were of lower and mid-range, so it is good to see Xiaomi is still supporting them. It is pretty much a tradition for this Chinese company to present the newest iterations of its skin to its cheaper and even older handsets.
The over the air roll out of the MIUI 11 is a stage-wise process, and only a few users receive updates. Yet, download links are available for several newer versions on the official community thread. The users can download them manually and enjoy the update.
MIUI 11 has completed all its phases of the rollout time table. The Redmi Note 8 Pro was part of Phase 4 of rollouts that was expected to start from December 18, but that has not stopped some users from receiving it last month itself.
