As promised, Xiaomi announced the MIUI 12 update at an event in China. Xiaomi also revealed the MIUI 11 successor was a new 5G handset called Mi 10 Youth Edition. It is the new entry model in the Mi 10 series.
In the event, they talked about the beginners, the devices that are eligible to try the MIUI 12 beta version before the stable rollout.
The invitations in the beta testing program are still going on, so the users can check the list to know if their device is eligible or not. By the timeframe that Xiaomi revealed at the event, the beta rollout should have started now.
Xiaomi also set the stable MIUI 12 update that will be ready by the end of June. When the MIUI 12 left the closed beta channel, then the Mi 6, Redmi Note 5, Mi 6X, Mi Note 3, and Mi MIX 2 will also be dropped from the future MIUI beta updates.
As the earlier MIUI updates, the update to MIUI 12 will be released in phases. Xiaomi said that the first phase comes at the end of June that will have the entire Mi 10 series, Mi 9 series, Redmi K30 series, and Redmi K20 series of devices.
After this, the devices which will get the update are Mi MIX 3, Mi MIX 2S, Mi CC9 Pro, Mi CC9, Mi CC9 Meitu Edition, Mi 9 SE, Mi 8 UD, Mi 8 Transparent Edition, Mi 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Redmi Note 7. No date is released for this batch.
Similarly, there is no release date for the third batch; it has the Mi CC9e, Mi Note 3, Mi Max 3, Mi 8 Lite, Mi 8 SE, Mi MIX 2, Mi 6X, Redmi Note 8, Redmi 8, Redmi 8A, Redmi 7, Redmi 7A, Redmi 6 & 6 Pro, Redmi 6A, Redmi Note 5, and Redmi S2.
The MIUI 12 stable update schedule is for the Chinese market, so the eligible devices like the Poco F1, Poco X2, Mi 9T, and Mi 9T Pro are not on the list. These devices are sold in China with different names.
Xiaomi rejected the MIUI 11 weekly beta updates in March. Now, it said that the first MIUI 12 weekly beta update would be released on 8th May. The devices which are in the beta program are below:

Xiaomi said that the global ROM has no release date till yet, but it will not take time after the Chinese ROM gets a stable update.
