The name you will be seeing on Netflix for some years to come given he signed an exclusive deal with Netflix from last year.
This show became an immediate success after Netflix picked it up to look internationally. The first two seasons had aired on Antenna 3in Spain before fetching a full Netflix Original for season 3. It released on Netflix on July 19th, 2019.
It is better known as La Casa de Papel in its native Spain. It is not only the most-watched non-English show on Netflix but one of the most-watched series universally on the streaming service.
The breakout hit after stealing many viewers’ hearts is now returning with season 4, and it will be available very soon indeed.
Money Heist Season 4 Plot
Money Heist is about a group of eight robbers – each code-named after cities by The Professor – who executes complex heists on Spanish financial institutions. Season 3 finished with the thieves mid-way through a heist of the Bank of Spain, achieving their goal of Rio’s release from the Cops, but at a considerable cost – Nairobi was hit by a sniper’s bullet, and the Cops captured Lisbon.
We last saw The Professor announced DEFCON 2 to the police, so season 4 will undoubtedly see an escalation in the dispute between police and the robbers. With potentially deadly consequences, as the series has never shied away from killing characters before. The season will likely see the group attempt to save Nairobi’s life and stage a preserve operation for the captured Lisbon. Once all the thieves discover she’s still alive – provided they live long enough to fight off another Cop assault and escape the bank.
The cast of Money Heist Season 4
The announcement trailer confirmed all of the thieves return, including Alvaro Morte as The Professor, Ursula Corbero as Tokyo, Itziar Ituno as Lisbon, Esther Acebo, Miguel Heran as Rio. Jaime Lorente, Darko Peric, and Rodrigo De la Serna, Denver, as Jaime Lorente Lopez also star. You can watch the trailer here.
The arrival of Alba Flores in the trailer advice that Nairobi is still alive for now. Awfully Pedro Alonso is also in the trailer as Berlin, despite dying in season 2 – it is hoped that he will appear more in flashbacks.
Money Heist Season 4 consists of eight episodes, and it will be releasing on Netflix on April 3rd. As per the United States Streaming Platform’s, all episodes from the new season will be coming out in one go. Which means we can watch all the episodes at the same time in one stretch.
