Finally, Nokia 3.2 smartphone is getting the Android 10 update after the Android 9 Pie, which was released globally in February 2019. HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas, has announced the development on Twitter. Nokia said that the update of the latest software would roll out in the two waves. India is among the 32 countries that will get the first wave, and in that, they will get the Android 10 update this month. At the beginning of March, the Finnish tech company also released the roadmap that shows a lot of Nokia smartphones, which is going to get the Android 10 update in the second quarter of 2020, and Nokia 3.2 was also on that list.
As per the post shared by Nokia and Sarvikas, only 10% of the listed 32 countries will get the Android 10 update from 7th April.
The company further said that 50% would get by 10th April, and on 12th April, 100% of the approved markets will get the Android 10.
In the first wave, the countries are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belgium, Cambodia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Kazakhstan, Laos, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Netherland, Norway, Philippines, Russia, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Thailand, Ukraine, and Vietnam.
The users can check the Android 10 update on Nokia 3.2 smartphone by going into the Settings > System > Advanced > System update.
The users of Nokia 3.2 will also get new features like enhanced privacy and security settings, dark mode, smart reply, Focus mode, etc. with Android 10. As per the screenshot of an update, which was shared by the user, it includes the March security patch.
Nokia 3.2 was launched in India in May 2019, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 SoC and has 4,000mAh battery. The phone also has 2GB and 3GB RAM units, and it was shipped with Android 9 Pie.
In March, Nokia released a roadmap that showed which Nokia smartphone will get the Android 10 update in the second quarter of 2020. Besides Nokia 3.2, other devices that will get the Android 10 update in the second quarter of 2020 are Nokia 2.3, the Nokia 4.2, the Nokia 7.2 Nokia 6.2, the Nokia 3.1 Plus, and the Nokia 8 Sirocco.
Moreover, the new roadmap also says that the exact rollout date of Android 10 for Nokia devices may be different from region to region; it depends on the operator approvals and local variations.
