OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8 will Launch Today: Watch Live Stream, Price, and Specifications

OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 smartphones will launch today. The company is organizing a global online event where they will reveal prices, availability, and specification of the phones. As per the leaks, the OnePlus 8 Pro will have a quad-camera setup in the back, and the OnePlus8 will come with the triple rear cameras. The devices will be powered with the Snapdragon 865 SoC, and it will support 5G. The company also confirms the 120Hz display refresh rate in both devices.

Live stream link, expected price of OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8

The launch event of the OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 will start today at 8:30pm IST. The live stream of the event will be on the OnePlus official website and via YouTube also. According to the leaks, the price of OnePlus 8 Pro will be between EUR 919 and EUR 929 (approx Rs. 76,000-76,900) in Europe for the storage of 8GB RAM + 128GB. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model will have the price in between EUR 1,009 and EUR 1,019 (approx Rs. 83,500-84,400).

The OnePlus 8, will have the price in between EUR 719 and EUR 729 (approx Rs. 59,500-60,400) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option in Europe. And the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage of the OnePlus 8 will have the price in between EUR 819 and EUR 829 (approx Rs. 67,800-68,700).

CEO Pete Lau said in an interview that the OnePlus 8 series would not have more price than $1,000 (approx Rs. 76,400). The OnePlus 8 series is the most expensive phone but, still, it is cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S20 5G option, which starts at $999.99 (approx Rs. 76,400).

OnePlus also announced that it would organize an online event for the OnePlus fans in Europe, but there is no information about any event in India. The user can watch the live stream of an event in the embedded video which is below:

Lau said that the OnePlus 8 series would be thin and light as compared to the earlier generation of the OnePlus phones. The company is set to offer its fifth-generation matte-frosted glass finish on the new device. The design will be attractive, and it will be very comfortable to take the grip. As per the leaks, the OnePlus 8 Pro will come in Onyx Black, Glacial Green, and Ultramarine Blue color. And the OnePlus 8 will come in Glacial Green, Interstellar Glow, and Onyx Black models.

Leaks suggest that the OnePlus 8 Pro will have a quad-camera setup at the back and also a hole-punch display. The camera will be set in the top center of the back, also with the three sensors which will be aligned vertically. The device will also have laser autofocus and a dual-tone flash.

The company confirms that the OnePlus 8 series will have the 5G support, it will come with a 120Hz Fluid Display, and will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC. The OnePlus 8 devices will have the UFS 3.0 flash storage similar to its predecessors, but with some addition of the software such as Turbo Write and Host Performance Booster (HPB).

The devices are also going to incorporate LPDDR5 RAM, bring a faster transfer rate by reducing power consumption. The two devices can reach a transfer rate of 6,400Mbps at bandwidth as high as 51.2GB/s. LPDDR5 also comes with 45% of lower power consumption when it is compared with the earlier LPDDR4 generation.

As per the leaks, the OnePlus 8 Pro will have features such as a 6.78-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It might also give the 8GB and 12GB RAM options. The internal storage will have options such as 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. For the cameras, the OnePlus 8 Pro will have a quad rear setup, which includes two 48-megapixel cameras, one 8-megapixel camera, and a fourth 5-megapixel sensor. Also, there will be a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The device might have a 4,510mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T and Warp Charge 30 Wireless charging support also. It will also support the 3W reverse wireless charging and also IP68 water and dust resistance.

The vanilla OnePlus 8 might have the feature of a smaller 6.55-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a triple camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 16-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor. The 16-megapixel selfie camera is similar to the OnePlus 8 Pro. The device also has a 4,300mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T support.
