Oppo K3 started receiving a new Android 10 based ColorOS 7 update with WiFi Calling Support in India. As per the previous post, Oppo announced that Oppo K3 users would get the stable Android ColorOS 7 update on May 29. But, this update is scheduled to launch for selected users.
ColorOS 7 Update features in Oppo K3:
The latest update comes up with the software version CPH1955_11_C.02 and is currently available for the user base in India. The firmware update is about 467 MB in size and brings the long-requested VoWiFi (WiFi calling) support settings to the phone. As per the changelog, the update improved system performance and stability. It also fixes an issue where portraits would appear dim, and the background would look grey or overexposed when shot in HDR mode, as well as a fix for an issue where the audio in iQiyi videos would not play.
The report confirms that ColorOS 7 update, as said before, enables the most anticipated WiFi calling support on the device. WiFi calling support currently works for users with Reliance or Airtel connection in India. The users receive the update as OTA; however, the users can also check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
The Oppo K3 was launched in 2019 May with a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+. The device carries a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC with Adreno 616 GPU. The device also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner along with a battery of 3765mAh.
The phone has a dual-camera setup at the rear, which sports a 16MP primary camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. In terms of connectivity, it supports WiFi dual-band, GPS, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C port for charging.
