The launch date for Battlegrounds Mobile India, the updated avatar for PUBG Mobile, has been announced again. The popular battle royale game has been teasing its rebirth for some time now, but no official launch date has been announced yet. A new leak claims that Battlegrounds Mobile India will launch in the country on June 18, corroborating previous leaks which made similar claims. PUBG Mobile India was banned by the government last year, among other games and apps, due to data privacy concerns for their connection to China.
Popular tipster and PUBG Mobile influencer Sagar Thakur aka Maxtern tweeted a binary code that translates to 18062021. His tweet indicates that Battlegrounds Mobile India could launch on June 18th. This tweet was the first Point by IGN India, the same publication which also alluded to the same date last month, citing anonymous sources. Additionally, content creator Abhijeet Andhare (@GHATAK_official) also tweeted that the launch could take place during the third week of June.
Pre-registrations for the game began on May 18 on the Google Play Store, and Battlegrounds Mobile India is expected to go live exactly one month later if the leaks carry any weight. South Korean developer Krafton has yet to share a release date, but he’s been teasing aspects of the game for quite some time now. The last teaser showed a crucial in-game element for the battle royale experience – a level 3 backpack. The Google Play store listing for Battlegrounds Mobile India hints at the minimum requirements to play the game seamlessly. Krafton has previously teased PUBG Mobile’s Sanhok and Erangel maps, although the latter will be called Erangle in Battlegrounds Mobile India.
