Airtel and Jio launched Wi-Fi calling services to several cities in India. There are some OEM’s smartphones that were missing out, though many of the smartphone brands support the VoWiFi feature. Only some of the phones neither listed under Airtel nor Jio as the compatible mobiles of the networks. However, in a recent addition, Xiaomi made the feature of the Wi-Fi calling available for seven Redmi phones.
It means, now the users can make use of the VoWiFi calling feature on the Jio and Airtel mobile networks. Redmi India officially announced, in a recent tweet, that additionally, 7 Redmi Phones will now get support to VoWiFi.

The newly added phones that are now supporting the VoWiFi feature are Redmi 7, K20, K20 Pro, 7A, 7 Pro, Note 8 Pro, and Y3.
However, except for Redmi Note 8 Pro, all the other devices are supporting VoWiFi calling feature on both Jio and Airtel mobile networks. Whereas, Note 8 Pro only limited to the Jio network. The company has also confirmed the fact that the regular Note 8 will be getting it soon.
Moreover, when checked for the compatible devices list for using the Voice over Wi-Fi feature on both Airtel and Jio network’s official website, only Airtel seen populating the list officially.
Jio has to still to update its list of Xiaomi supported phones officially, and as of now, the phones that are listed are Redmi K20, K20 Pro, and Poco F1.
In the same way, other devices also expected to soon receive the VoWiFi, Wi-Fi calling support by Redmi. Users of other models do not have to wait much longer for further developments in this regard.
