Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro was launched in January 2019 with the Android 9.0 version. This device is packed with 6.53 inches display, has a 64 MP rear camera, 20 MP selfie camera with 6/8 GB RAM, and up to 256 GB storage. An octa-core MediaTek Helio G90T processor chipset powers Note 8 Pro. It is fueled by a 4500 mAh battery, which helps in the fast charging of the device.
Last month Xiaomi started to roll out a stable Android 10 update for many regions. Now, the Chinese OEM announced in its community forum that it started to release Kernel source code based on Android 10 for Redmi Note 8 Pro. It will be an opportunity for the custom ROM developers such as LineageOS, Pixel Experience, Paranoid Android, etc. to go through it and provide new features on their ROMs and further built much stable firmware.
Xiaomi is among those companies that provide the source code of its firmware for the public use. If you look at the XDA developer forum, you can find a lot of tweaks, custom kernels, and custom ROM for various Xiaomi devices.
