The 8GB RAM variant of Redmi Note 8 is spotted on TENAA. Last year, In China, the Redmi Note 8 was launched in August. Two months later, it was made available in India. At the time of launch, the smartphone was propelled in only 6GB RAM and 4GB RAM options.
The Redmi Note 8 major features include a rear quad camera setup with a waterdrop-style notch display, a 48-megapixel main camera sensor, an 18W fast charger inside the box, and a dedicated slot for microSD card with storage expansion of up to 128GB onboard storage.
The TENAA listing of Redmi Note 8 with model number M1908C3JE shows the extension of 256GB storage and 8GB RAM. It hints that the Redmi Note 8 might soon come with an 8GB + 256GB model.
Presently, the high-end model is the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant, and the price of it is Rs. 12,999. The price of the 8GB + 256GB model will be more than the current top-end model at the very least.
There is no information from Xiaomi that when it is planning to unveil the option of 8GB RAM. As it was spotted on TENAA, it seems to launch first in China.
The Redmi Note 8 is priced at Rs. 9,999 in India for the 4GB + 64GB model. As mentioned before, the price of the 6GB + 128GB model is Rs. 12,999. The phone is available in Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, and Space Black options on Mi Home Stores, Mi.com, and Amazon India.
The specifications of the phone include a (1080×2280 pixels) 6.39-inch full-HD+ screen. It is paired with up to 6GB of RAM, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, and provides up to 128GB of storage.
Redmi has added four rear cameras on the smartphone, an 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter with an f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree field of view, two 2-megapixel cameras (one macro and one depth) with f/2.4 aperture, and a 48-megapixel primary shooter with f/1.79 aperture.
There is also a 13-megapixel selfie camera as well as an f/2.0 aperture onboard. In addition, the phone includes an 18W charger inside the box, a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and IR blaster.
