Redmi Note 9 Pro Max was launched in March, and its first sale started this week with the March 2020 Android security patch. Now, the device receiving the April 2020 Android security patch update.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max smartphone is packed with a 6.67 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display. Houses Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, coupled with Adreno 618 GPU, and fueled with a massive Li-Po 5020 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The device is shipped with up to 128 GB storage of UFS 2.1 and offers a maximum of 8 GB RAM.
Furthermore, it includes a quad-camera setup with 64 MP primary camera and 32 MP pop-up selfie shooter. For connectivity, the phone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NavIC, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Xiaomi India, mentioned in his tweet that the next sale would go live in the next week.

While many brands are getting the May security patch and we are in the middle of May, the device is still getting the April security patch.
The new software update for Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Max came with a build number MIUI v11.0.2.0.QJXINXM and weighs 338 MB in size. However, there is no additional information about the update apart from the April 2020 security patch.
