Samsung Galaxy Z Flip foldable phone is ready to be officially announced on 11th February at an event in San Francisco.
On Sunday, during the Academy Awards, Samsung gave a glimpse of a new square-shaped foldable phone as a surprise TV commercial. The ad was broadcasted only in the United States, and it comes two days before. The Galaxy Z Flip phone opens and closes vertically like a flip phone.
There were many shots of the phones, and it shows that the phone will come in purple and black color, and it also showed some other details.
Users are expecting this device can be less expensive than the $1,980 (approx Rs. 1,41,900) Galaxy Fold, which opens like a book, and it was launched in September. It was delayed by a few months after having problems with the screens.

Tom Kang, an analyst at research firm Counterpoint, said that the new Galaxy Z Flip foldable phone would create a halo effect for Samsung’s brand. It will help to compete with Apple’s expensive models. Further, he said that adding that Samsung has taken the lead in foldable phones at that time when Chinese rivals look to leap into the very new market.
According to rumors, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip foldable phone is expected to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC. It will have 8GB of RAM with the 256GB of storage. The phone may also come with the 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display. It will also have a 3,300mAh battery.
Samsung is going to host a press event in San Francisco on 11th February. And there, they will introduce the Galaxy Z Flip and also its next flagship smartphones in the form of Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra.
