Sony announces a Play At Home‘ initiative, in which they will give the PS4 users two free games even though they are subscribers of PlayStation Plus or not.
The PS4 owners can claim both the Journey and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, which has the first three entries in Nathan Drake’s adventure: Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, and Drake’s Deception. Both games will be available in between 15th April to 5th May that too for a limited period via digital downloads.
By doing this, Sony is trying to control the spread of COVID-19 and also encouraging the users to do social distancing and should stay at home and play video games.
CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Jim Ryan said in a blog post that during these days, when people have to do the physical distancing, the PS4 fans are playing gaming to do the rest and for enjoyment.
Ryan further added that to do the thank you to everyone who are doing their part to reduce the impact of this pandemic, Sony Interactive Entertainment is happy to announce the Play At Home initiative for them.
The selection of free titles is the same all over the world except in China and Germany. These two countries have access to Knack 2 and Journey. Sony also starts doing a fund of $10 million to do the financial support for its independent development partners, as they might face unexpected difficulties in this pandemic.
