In March 2016, Samsung released the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. But, the duo gets the latest software update recently, and that is January 2020 security patches.
Samsung gives the four years of software support to the Galaxy S7 family. And maybe this is going to repeat for the newer flagships that also includes the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8.
These two devices came in 2017, and it is avoided many of the times for the update of Android 10.
The Galaxy Note 8 software update looks like that it is getting better now, and the device is not even receiving major OS upgrades. The latest February security patch is now available for the T-Mobile.
The Magenta carrier is pushing the OTA update as version N950USQS7DTA5. The size of this update is 173.68MB. The changelog never goes beyond the updated security patch. But, there will be a few optimizations, and also bug-fixing will be there.
Galaxy S10 series is receiving the latest February 2020 security update from the T-Mobile. The update is coming over the air with the build number CTA3, and the weight of the file is 200MB.
The full software version on the S10 is G970USQS3CTA3. The standard S10 is getting it in the version of G973USQS3CTA3. And for the S10+, the OTA is coming in the version of G975USQS3CTA3.
OTA updates may take some days to arrive. So, users have to wait for the download notification to arrive.
