TLC Plex made the company’s first foray into the mobile device’s market. TLC Plex was introduced last year at IFA and became available for the buyers from October 2019.
Since its announcement, the expectations on this mid-range smartphone were very high. The specifications of this phone were very much impressive. The primary camera will be faster when shooting in 48MP mode. Further, video recording is smoother to boot. The selfie camera got a boost in performance and improved skin color filters.
Now, TLC rolled out the first major update for its newly released phone. TLC Plex updated with Android 10 but with some added bloatware in the form of a likely unwanted game.
The Android 10 update for TLC Plex weighs a hefty 2.7GB. The update packs a new file sharing app called File Share and a game called Modern Combat Rebel Guns. In the past, the same game came pre-installed on Motorola phones. It is a shooter game by Gameloft. You can remove this game, but it will be restored when you factory reset your smartphone.
Furthermore, the Android 10 brings a bunch of new features such as new privacy controls, system-wide dark mode, 30 shortcuts for the smart key, new gesture controls, and many more. The update also promises some specific improvements of the device that includes better 48MP photo quality, VoWiFi in the UK, music controls on the lock screen, EE/O2 VoLTE, and more.
As usual, the update is over OTA, and you may get the update on your TLC Plex right now. The company is rolling out the update in a staged manner. So that if there are any bugs found, the company can rectify them.
