The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi launches the Mi Air Purifier 3 in India, coming amid the time when the country is facing the critical level of highly polluted air and smog. This version will be succeeding the Mi Air Purifier 2S with greatly improved functions and filters. Mi Air Purifier 3 comes the HEPA class 3 filter and a touchscreen OLED display that was not present in the Mi Air Purifier 2S.
HEPA is part of its three-layer filtration system that also includes a primary filter and an activated carbon filter. Moreover, the CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) is also a lot higher in this model standing at 380 cubic metrics per hour and features the touchscreen OLED display. Additionally, the users will be able to support it with Google’s Assistant as well as Amazon Alexa. They can also control it via the OLED display or Mi Home app.
The pricing of this air purifier starts off at Rs 9,999 and is currently available on the company’s website via Mi.com. The sales on Amazon and Flipkart will start from 7 November onwards. Whereas, its predecessor Mi Air Purifier 2S which was launched last year starting at Rs 8,999. And after that Xiaomi also released the Mi Air Purifier 2C version recently and it cost about Rs 6,499.
With a new improved version, Xiaomi really advanced from 2S to 3 Air purifier model bringing in many satisfying features. The company also increased its CADR and the coverage area by 22 percent. Instead of EPA Class 12 filter as in 2S, it installed the HEPA class 13 which is more superior and will enhance its air purification function. The Eddy fan has also been replaced with the centrifugal fan and lastly, with these new modifications it is also a lot quieter at 2dbs at its highest speed.
