The brand new Xiaomi Mi TV 4 launched along with the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro here in India on Wednesday. Xiaomi Mi TV 4 claims to be the thinnest LED TV with a thickness of 4.9mm.
The series actually hit the market at CES 2017, which went on sale in China in June last year. By this launch, Xiaomi marks its debut entry to the television segments with a fortunate cutback of prices. In India, Xiaomi launched it’s Mi TV 4 in just one variant, with 55 inches, which will be exclusively available in Flipkart.

Rs. 39,999 has been costed for the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 (55). It has been launched by exciting free offers including a free subscription to Sony Live and Hungama Play of worth Rs. 619 for the first three months, the Mi IR Cable of worth Rs. 299, and on-site installation of worth Rs. 1,099. The Xiaomi Mi TV 4 will be made available for the customers to fetch the product from Mi.com, Flipkart, and Mi Home stores with effect from February 22.

A 55-inch LED display panel with a 4K (3840×2160 pixels) resolution and HDR support has been sported in the Xiaomi Mi TV 4, launched in India. The company claims to have a viewing angle of 178 degrees and has a response time of 8ms offered by the 60Hz panel.It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Amlogic Cortex-A53 DoC clocked up to 1.8GHz, coupled with Mali-T830 graphics. It bears 2GB of RAM and features 8GB of storage. Connectivity options including three HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB (one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0) ports, an Ethernet port, an S/PDIF port, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 are there in the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 (55″).
The company is touting the presence of Dolby+DTS Cinema Audio Quality on the Mi TV 4 with two 8W duct inverted speakers as well as its AI-powered PatchWall UI that has been restructured exclusively for the Indian market. Personalised recommendations and universal search have been offered by the PatchWall UI. The TV is coming up with an 11-button Mi Remote that can be used to control a set-top box apart from the television itself, using the Mi IR cable priced at Rs. 299, made available for free as a launching offer.
It also offers voice control features. Over 500,000 hours of content will be available, of which 80 percent will be free content and contents in 15 Indic languages will be available. Hotstar, Voot, Voot Kids, Sony Liv, Hungama Play, Zee5, Sun NXT, ALT Balaji, Viu, TVF, and Flickstree will be the content partners. Hungama Originals will be coming soon as well.
