Samsung kicked off its Android Oreo version rise for the Galaxy S8 internationally by the beginning of this year, but now the update is starting to roll out unexpectedly. The Verizon has chosen the eventful day to start rolling out the Android Oreo 8.0 update to the Samsung Galaxy S8 as well S8. Perhaps quit embarrassing for Samsung that thing since many others have mentioned they have no updates available yet, so this could be very slow rollout for sure and if we consider the US even they didn’t completely receive the unlocked models the update yet either.
The Android Oreo update for the S8 and S8+ arrives with by numbers G950USQU2CRB9 and G955USQU2CRB9, which are amazingly newer than what the rest of the world is running. The number of features remains the same and that goes for the security patch. Some of the common updates of Android 8.0 Oreo features include picture-in-picture (PIP), autofill for quickly entering usernames and passwords inside apps, enhanced limits on background apps and multitasking support for apps for reduced battery drain and better device performance it confirmed that Samsung is getting ready to open the floodgates, so positively, other carriers and Samsung themselves get going soon
As people’s expectation, this update brings the device to Android Oreo 8.0 with Samsung Experience 9.0. That means it doesn’t change more in the UI but has tried to include Google’s changes such as picture-in-picture mode, as well as quite a tons of changes from Samsung. If you own a Galaxy S8 or S8+ on Verizon, most probably you will be able to download the update from the Settings by clicking Software update from the menu. Unfortunately, it may not be available for all the users at the moment, but the update’s reach should expand over the course of within next few weeks.
