LG brought the long-awaited Android 10 update for the LG G8 ThinQ in December 2019, whereas the “Dual Screen” compatible LG G8X ThinQ is scheduled to receive its Android 10 update in the second quarter 2020.
Sprint LG G8X ThinQ Started Receiving Stable Android 10 Update
If you are owning Sprint LG G8X ThinQ, you will receive the Android 10 update OTA shortly if you haven’t received it yet. The screenshot of the update is shared by a user and is below.
In general, the unlocked models get the update first in contradiction to the carrier models, but this time the AT&T LG V40 ThinQ is receiving the Android 10 update at the same time as that of unlocked models. Many of the users received the OTA even without an official announcement.
There is no information on the Android security patch as of now, but the update brings in some goodies of Android 10, such as system-wide dark mode and full-screen gestures. LG has also published the Android 10 kernel source for this variant (LM-G850UM9) on their code repository, which corresponds to software build number G850U20a.
LG G8X ThinQ Android 10 Kernel Sources
The Korean OEM will release the Linux kernel source code for two more devices that are set to receive the Android 10 update — the LG V50s ThinQ (LM-V510N/NX/NOX) and LG V35 ThinQ (LM-V350N/NO/NOS). As per the latest update timeline published by LG, both the devices should receive the Android 10 update soon.

Not yet announced LG Stylo 6 kernel source code is also available now. The latest mid-range mobile was in the news for the past few days with the Tweet shared by the well-known tipster Evan Blass (aka @evleaks).
As a matter of fact, the alleged model number of the LG Stylo 6 (LM-Q730xx) is very much similar to the LG Q70 (LM-Q730N), which happens to be the Korean variant.
