2. Unlocked Bootloader.

Steps to Install TWRP Recovery and Root Mi 5X

Install TWRP Recovery

1. Download and Install ADB drivers on your PC.
2. Now, download Mi 5X Toolkit zip file
3. Extract the Mi 5X Toolkit zip file in the new folder.
4. Enable the USB debugging on your device after enabling ‘Developer Options’ by going to ‘About phone’ and tapping build number 7 times.
   
5. Connect Mi 5X to PC using USB cable.
6. In your PC, Run the MI 5X toolkit.exe. (Double Click)
   
7. Now Type 41, hit enter to start flashing TWRP Recovery.
   
8. It Will take few seconds to flash TWRP recovery on your device.
9. Now, You device will automatically booted into TWRP recovery mode.
   └ If not long press “Volume down + Power” buttons until your device boots into recovery mode.

Root Mi 5x

• Connect Mi 5X to PC using USB cable.
• Make sure that your device is in TWRP Recovery mode.
  └ If not long press “Volume down + Power” buttons until your device boots into recovery mode.
• In your PC, Run the MI 5X toolkit.exe. (Double Click)
  
• Now, type 45 and hit enter (All required files will be transferred into your device)
• In TWRP Main menu, Take a full Nandroid Backup.
• Now in the TWRP main menu, Click on Wipe and swipe to factory reset on the bottom of the screen.
• Go back to the main menu in TWRP, tap on install and select the Noverity zip file and do swipe to confirm flash to begin the installation process.
  
• Again, go back to the main menu in TWRP, tap on install and select the xnmagisk zip file and do swipe to confirm flash to begin the installation process.
• After flashing magisk and Noverity, reboot your device from the main menu.
• Done!!!
