Now, there are reports about the beta update being available on Nokia 7 Plus. The stable version of Android Pie will be rolled out shortly by Nokia and it will arrive as an OTA in the next few weeks. Users will first need to register themselves to get the emailing list of the beta update.
According to the latest reports in India, it seems like the Nokia 7 Plus has also started receiving the Android Pie update.
HMD Global hasn’t given any official confirmation yet but the Nokia 7 Plus joined the Android Pie party as soon as the OS went live. Nokia 7 Plus, alongside the Essential Phone and several other phones, took part in the beta testing program, which points out to the fact that Nokia also had a stable build at about the same time as Google.
If reports are to be believed, the Android Pie update on the Nokia 7 Plus might take up to 1.2 GB. The highlights of this update include adaptive battery and brightness, simpler ways of navigation and recommended apps and actions based on the current context, among few others.
Since it is an OTA update, it might take some time before all the Nokia 7 Plus device can get to download the notification. Google gave hints that the rollout will be available for those who participated in the beta program, but now, it seems to not be the case.
It will be interesting to see the updates and changes which Android Pie will bring about.
