Mi Box S Android 9 stable update

We all know that the earlier released stable Android 9 update for Mi Box S was a disaster, and left many devices unusable. Recently Xiaomi restarted to release the OTA 2 beta updates for the device. This OTA 2 beta update seems to be less buggy and quite stable.

Xiaomi seems to be desperate in releasing the updates of Android 9 OTA 2 beta as it has come up with yet another beta 3 update for Mi Box S. The Android 9 Pie OTA2 Beta 3 update for Mi Box S came out with a build number R2603.

Changelog For Mi Box S OTA2 Beta 3 Android 9 Pie Update

The latest update weighs 665 MB, which is the same as that of the earlier two beta versions, but the build number is different. The OTA2 Beta 3 made only one critical bug fix that is “CEC not working.” Hence this update is called HotFix update. If any of the users of Mi Box S are facing the issue of HDMI connectivity, this update would be helpful for them.

Since this is a full OTA update, you will receive the update even if you are on Android 8 Oreo or the OTA2 Beta 2 update. You can also check manually for the update. For that head o Settings > About > Check for the OTA updates. Since it is an OTA update, it takes some time for all the devices to receive the update.

If you don’t want to wait, you can download from the download link provided below

The title clearly says it is beta version and it’s very obvious to have bugs.
