We all know that earlier Google revealed that its forthcoming event, Google I/O 2020, which is developer-focused, to be held from May 12 to May 14. But at that time there was no information on the tickets.
If you are the one who has been waiting for the registration process for the event to start, then it is the time for you now. However, the tickets are as expensive as ever.
The cost of a general admission ticket is $1,150, whereas academic pricing persists $375. You are eligible for an academic pass if you are a professor, active full-time student, staff member, or faculty at a high school or college. But to the event’s check-in center, you will need to bring proof of documentation that you are student or faculty. You also cannot convert an academic ticket to the general admission ticket later or vice versa.

However, please keep in mind that current or future mandated travel restrictions may make it impossible to join the event in person. Please consult your local government guidance regarding coronavirus and travel restrictions. We will allow all I/O registrants to cancel their registration up to April 15, 2020, without the financial penalty so that travel decisions can be made based on what is best for the safety and health of all attendees. Meanwhile, the homepage of I/O 2020 is live now with the conference theme of this year. Google also detailed its sustainability goals that again include “no parking.”
