Nokia 6.1 Plus Android 10 Update Released!

HMD Global officially announced the release of the stable Android 10 update for the Nokia 6.1 Plus smartphone across the globe. The Nokia 6.1 Plus Android 10 update brings along the Android security patch to  December 2019 and enables features like gesture navigation, dark mode, and smart reply.

Last year, the Nokia 6.1, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 8.1, and Nokia 9 PureView got the Android 10 update. Previously, the official roadmap released by the company in August 2019. Nokia has confirmed that its 6.1 Plus variant would receive the Android 10 update between the fourth quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020.

Through its Twitter account, Nokia has confirmed the roll-out of the Android 10 update for Nokia 6.1 Plus. Further, users are going to receive the update batch-wise and via over-the-air (OTA).  Back in October 2019, the internal Android 10 beta build leaked for the device.

Check out the update for Android 10 in your device’s system updater, or you can download them manually. Some of the users have shared the screenshots on Twitter confirming the arrival of the update.

As per the screenshots, the version number of the update is v4.10C. Also, the update size found to be 1302.7MB.

The complete changelog includes the Dark mode that makes it easy on the eyes. The Smart reply feature for saving more time with recommended replies. The Gesture navigation to get around with a swipe and a pull. Additional controls for location and privacy added to the Android 10 update. Finally, 6.1 Plus comes with a December 2019 Google Security patch.

In the rollout roadmap for Android 10, Nokia confirmed that it would roll out the update to other smartphones like Nokia 6.1, Nokia 7 Plus in this month itself. The update will also rollout to Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.2, and Nokia 4.2 in the Q1 of 2020. Later to the Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 5.1 Plus, and Nokia 8 Sirocco.

The roadmap also includes the Nokia 1, Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, and Nokia 5.1. All four slated, further to get Android 10 in the second quarter of 2020.
