In the latest announcement on twitter global chief officer of Nokia Juho Sarvikas, the company started rolling out the Android 10 update for Nokia 5.1.
Juho Sarvikas, chief product officer, HMD Global, tweeted, “The #Android10 roll out for #Nokia5dot1 is available today. Get ready to upgrade your phone experience with all of the latest features! Head over to our Community Forum for details on availability by country.”
The announcement opens up the Android avenues for the oldest mobile company. The company has said that the feature will be rolled out in different stages i.e. the first stage will have a total of 10 countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
According to the official statement by the company, 10% of the consumers will get the update by today rest will be getting it in the upcoming days of October. While all the customers of Nokia will get it by October 29 at the earliest. The company has already released an Android upgrade for the Nokia 3.1 version and this will be the company’s second android update. The update comes a little late for the Indian market, however, the company has assured that the Indian customers will get the update earliest by 29 October 2020.
Nokia 5.1 was launched by the Finland company Nokia in 2018 and it has been the favourite of the customers since then. Earlier it was launched with the Android 8 Oreo update, post its launch in 2018 it is the second biggest update of the android version. Nokia 5.1 is a very good smartphone which comes packed with octa-core MediaTek Helio P18 processor paired available in two versions 2GB/3GB RAM. The smartphone also contains 5.5 FHD+ display with 1080×2160 pixel resolution. It also has a display which contains Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display. In addition to this, it also has a mounted fingerprint sensor and has 3000MAH battery.
