Facebook Messenger Rooms feature can now be used on WhatsApp with the latest WhatsApp 2.20.163 Beta version update. As per a report released by WABetaInfo, Facebook Messenger Rooms shortcut was added to the latest WhatsApp Beta version but for some selected beta users. Right now, the Messenger Rooms feature is available only in the US and is expected to be available to other beta users around the world soon.
The Facebook Messenger Rooms feature was released to the public very recently and allows 50 members to group chat at a time. With the Messenger Rooms feature integrated on WhatsApp 2.20.163 Beta version, we can also expect Facebook to add the feature on its other platforms like Facebook portal and Instagram sometime in the near future.
Facebook Messenger Rooms Feature Shortcut Button on WhatsApp 2.20.163 Beta Version
WABetsInfo report suggests that Facebook Messenger Rooms facility shortcut on the latest WhatsApp 2.20.163 Beta version for Android. The Messenger Rooms shortcut was also found on another beta version WhatsApp 2.20.139 Beta for Android. Nevertheless, the feature was not available for beta users, and the feature was not working in this version of WhatsApp. The Messenger Rooms feature is now available with the latest update while it depends upon the availability of Messenger Rooms in our region.
Open the chat share sheet on your device’s WhatsApp 2.20.163 Beta version, and you can check for the Messengers Rooms integration there once you have updated to the latest version the Room integration button is seen replacing the camera button. The beta users of the latest WhatsApp 2.20.163 Beta version can also check out the shortcut in the Call tab also.
If you are a newbie, then the call tab can be seen on the top right corner of the application as you click on the Rooms button a new window pops up just like before asking to continue to the Facebook Messenger Rooms.
The report further claims that once the user clicks on the Room button, a window pops up, describing the feature. The new window highlights the text “Messenger Rooms are protected by privacy controls and encryption of Messenger, leaving out video group calls which are not end-to-end encrypted.”
In our previous article, we came up with the Messenger Rooms feature rolling out, and already Facebook is rolling out the Messenger Rooms worldwide for its users, which gives a chance to 50 people to group video call at once.
If you are a Beta user, then grab this opportunity to use the Facebook Messenger Rooms button on your WhatsApp 2.20.163 Beta version on the Android device. It is now available to only Android devices, and iOS units have to wait some more time to get this feature on the WhatsApp Beta version.
